Mandatory "green card" motor vehicle civil liability insurance (EB)

THE OBJECT OF THE INSURANCE

EUROINS covers, on grounds of the present insurance conditions, natural or legal persons who own vehicles registered in Romania, against civil liability cases of prejudice caused the third parties by accidents occurred on the territory of the member states of the international Green Card system, the unbarred initials of which can be found in the Green Card insurance document.

INSURED RISKS

EUROINS pays compensation for prejudice provoked by vehicle accidents occurred within the territorial limits of the coverage, according to the legislation in force in the state on the territory of which the accident occurred.
Compensation is paid for material damages, trial expenses incurred by the person who suffered the prejudice and bodily injuries or death, including for non-patrimonial prejudice.

TERRITORY

The insurance is valid only on the territory of the member states of the Green Card international system the initials of which can be found unbarred in the Green Card insurance document.

THE LIABILITY PERIOD OF EUROINS

The insurance may be concluded for periods starting from 15 days and up to 12 months.
The liability of EUROINS starts at the time of the exit of the vehicle from the territory of Romania and it ceases at the time of the return of the vehicle on the territory of Romania, provided that this period is comprised between the dates registered in the "Green card" insurance document.

THE CONCLUSION OF THE INSURANCE

The insurance policy is considered concluded through the issuance of the Green Card insurance document and the collection of the insurance premium.
 

INSURED AMOUNTS

 In the case of prejudice provoked by vehicle accidents, compensation is paid according to the legislation in force in the state on the territory of which the accident occurred and at the highest level of compensation provided by the respective legislation.
 

INSURANCE PREMIUM

The insurance premium shall be paid in advance and in full for the whole insured period. The Green Card insurance document is issued for the same period for which the insurance premium is paid.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE INSUREE

To pay the insurance premium according to EUROINS fees.
In the case of the occurrence of an accident, the Insuree must:
a) take all necessary measures with the purpose of lessening the prejudice or of avoiding subsequent prejudice;
b) to notify immediately the relevant authorities (police, firemen brigade, etc.), closest to the place of the occurrence of event, to request the drawing up of documents finding the causes and the circumstances of the occurrence of the event;
c) to notify immediately the appropriate National Insurance Bureau, mentioned on the back of the Green Card insurance document;
d) to notify EUROINS in written about the occurrence of the accident, providing information about the causes and circumstances in which it occurred, on the nature of the damages caused to third parties and an estimation thereof, within 5 days from the occurrence of the event;
e) to put at the disposal of EUROINS, on his return, the statement of the Insuree, and also any other documents related to the accident.
In the case of non-fulfilling the obligations provided, if the insurance premium is not paid or if the guilt of the Insuree in the occurrence of the accident and of the damages cannot be determined, EUROINS has the right, after making the payment, to recover the amounts paid from the Insuree.
